I have 27 years of credit union experience. I started at Syracuse Fire in September 2000 as a part time teller, I have worked in every department at the credit union (except marketing). I love helping members and couldn’t imagine life without the credit union being part of it. CEO was never in my plans, but when the opportunity arose, and I evaluated the position, I decided that I had learned so much over the years and could really make a difference in the lives of our members.
I am married to the love of my life who has proudly protected the streets of Syracuse for 29 years and is currently a Police Captain. I have 2 wonderful children who are married to their soulmates and have given me 3 amazing grandchildren. Life is good!

Before working at the Credit Union, my career started in Internet Marketing and Social Media Managment. After falling in love, my life’s direction changed and I made the move to Central N.Y. My responsibilities at the Credit Union include managing our website and social media, as well as planning events and promotions, and many more items behind the scenes. You may find me blowing up balloons in the lobby, taking pictures, or out on a visit with one of our many SEG groups. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my spouse and two dogs, as well as gardening, baking treats, singing, and watching the New York Giants.

I am new to Syracuse Fire Department FCU, but not to the Credit Union industry. I have been part of the Syracuse credit union world for over 20 years. I have experience in the areas of Operations and Accounting. I am blessed to be part of a great team….members and staff! I have had a blast since Day 1 and I look forward to many more moments of learning and laughing with this group!

Outside of work I am known as the Balloon Lady, if I am not doing balloons or working, I am with my Husband and fur baby Hughie. I have worked in the financial business since 1988. I started with Marine Midland and then took a job with First Bank of Rochester in Shop City until they were bought by Skaneateles Savings. I found my forever job at NPG Federal Credit Union. I worked there for 20 years and I would have never left except again, NPG merged with Empower. I was very fortunate to find a home here at Syracuse Fire Department Federal Credit Union.
I have been married for 45 years and have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. My oldest son lives in El Paso, Texas with my youngest granddaughter and my oldest Granddaughter lives in Fort Bliss. She was in the Army and now is in the reserves and her husband is on active duty. My youngest son lives in Clinton, NY with my littlest grandson. I’m a crafter and love hockey. My husband and son have season passes for the Syracuse Crunch Hockey Team.

My mom worked at a Credit Union for most of my childhood so I feel like I grew up in banking and I am very comfortable behind the teller line! I enjoy getting to know the members and working as a team to serve our community. Outside of work I enjoy reading, kayaking and spending time with my family and my pets!

I began my time with the Syracuse Fire Credit Union in July 2025. I’ve spent the last 10 years in both retail and commercial banking, working closely with our communities and small businesses to help them thrive. I’m passionate about making financial wellness feel obtainable, while empowering people to pursue their dreams. I have been actively involved in many local initiatives including financial literacy workshops, small business mentorship programs and onboarding support including the VFW, Syracuse University and Upstate Medical University. Being new to the credit union space, I am excited to bring my experience and community-focused mindset to a space that truly values people over profits.

I have been working in the credit union industry for 17 years. I started as a floating teller, and over the years worked hard to move up to a SR. MSR/Loan Officer and Certified Financial Counselor, Notary Public, although I thought I would start my career as a police officer. I have a degree in criminal justice.
As a senior MSR, you can come to me for almost any financial need. If I don’t have the answer, I will find the correct one for you. I have been referred to as a calm soul as I have a calm demeanor and a lot of patience. I love all animals and have plenty of my own including two teenagers, seven dogs, and two mini donkeys. They all keep me very busy. Stop in and see me for anything you may need from new accounts, certificates of deposit, lending or financial counseling.

I have 10 years of experience in Financial Institutions, holding many different positions including lead teller/operations specialist, small business banker, and risk specialist to name a few. I have a passion for the Credit Union movement of “People helping people” and hope to continue learning, helping and educating members with their financial wellness at the SFD FCU.
Outside of work, I am a mother of one spunky little boy, a Sheltie, and two fat cats. I enjoy spending time with my son and husband outside anywhere from the backyard to mountain biking CNY trails. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can usually find me working on a craft project.
